Samantha Preziosio, known as “Sammi,” grew up in Batavia, Illinois, where she began her dance career at the age of 3. She has danced at numerous dance studios across the tri-cities but found her forever home at Soleunique in 2015. She has competed in numerous competitions with Soleunique Dance Company under the direction of Anthony Foster and Victoria Lynn Bunch, performing both group pieces and solos. She has attended numerous masterclasses led by various professionals. Along with competing through Soleunique, she served as a teacher assistant for six years. This is where she found her passion for teaching dance. From attending many dance studios, she has gained experience working with various teachers and choreographers and understands what it takes to be a great one.

Throughout the past 3 years, she has taught dance at Soleunique during her winter and summer breaks from school. She has incorporated fun movement, games, and dance education into local elementary schools for various field and adventure days. She has great patience and the ability to have fun, creating a fun-loving environment. She is very excited to be joining the Soleunique team.

In the spring, she will graduate from Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, accompanied by a minor in Spanish. Outside of dance, Samantha works with kids of all ages and abilities. She volunteers her time to help students grow academically and mentally. She values the growth and learning process of children.

Haleigh Hutchinson

 

Haleigh is excited to be teaching at Sole Unique in Wheaton! She began dancing at age three through a local park district, later advancing her training at a private studio before earning a dance minor in college. With over ten years of experience teaching recreational and competitive dancers, Haleigh is known for her supportive, mindful teaching style and well-rounded background.

Her training spans from Steps On Broadway in New York City to Pineapple Studios in London. She has studied ballet under Melissa Sallée, a student of Marie Tallchief, and jazz with Lisa Biagini, a student of the iconic Luigi. Haleigh holds a BA in Musical Theatre with a Dance Minor from North Central College and also studied at the renowned Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago. A lifelong learner, she continues taking classes at Steps On Broadway and believes dancers are never done growing.

Also a working actress, Haleigh has performed in professional musical theatre venues across Chicagoland and Connecticut, from The Den Theatre to the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. She especially loves being a part of workshops developing new works. In addition to performing, she has choreographed over ten musicals—from Junie B. Jones to Heathers—and her competition routines have earned numerous Overall and special judges’ awards at both regional and national levels.

Haleigh is a certified Progressing Ballet Technique instructor. She is passionate about injury prevention, proper muscle memory, and healthy technique. Through her teaching, she shares a love of learning, wellness, and a strong work ethic with dancers of all ages. She encourages students not to aim for perfection but to strive for growth—both in dance and in life.

Outside the studio, Haleigh lives in North Aurora with her husband Jack, their son Charlie, and their dog Dottie.

 

Bella Reich

Bella Reich was born and raised in the west Chicago suburbs. She began dancing at age 3 and started training pre-professionally at age 12 at State Street Dance Studio in Geneva, IL. From there, she moved around to many different pre professional schools in the suburbs. Notable teachers include Tatyana Mazur, Steven Norman, Anna Spelman
and Carson Reiners. Bella danced at A&A Ballet in Chicago for 2 years. As a junior in high school she was
homeschooled and joined the A&A Ballet youth company under the guidance of Alexei Kremnev and Anna Reznik. As a senior in high school, Bella returned to public school and danced at Alma Dance School in Glen Ellyn, IL, as part of their youth company. Her teachers at Alma included Vilma Machin, Guillermo Leyva, Summer Smith, and Rigoberto Saura.

Bella is a 2024 graduate from Butler University with a bachelor’s degree in dance-pedagogy. At Butler, she grew in her technique and artistry in not only ballet, but also modern and jazz. With Butler Ballet, Bella performed in many full length ballets
such as Giselle, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, La Vivandiere, and Cinderella. Bella has three younger siblings and a dog and cat. She enjoys baking, long walks, and hot yoga.

Emma Blaser

Emma has been dancing for over 16 years and has trained in a variety of styles including Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern, Pom and more. With an extreme passionate for helping dancers refine their technique and focus on movement quality, she helps build confidence and creates a healthy, positive space to grow.

In her time as a competitive dancer, Emma has earned multiple national titles as a soloist with her own choreography and furthered her career by dancing on a nationally ranked college dance team—choreographing pieces that won 4 national championships. In 2018, she had the amazing opportunity to perform on The Ellen Show and was also part of the early Club5 team for Five Dancewear, helping represent and grow a brand that celebrates individuality and creativity in dance.

With over 10 years of experience teaching and coaching dance teams, Emma brings heart, knowledge, and creativity into every class. When she’s not in the studio, she works full-time as a graphic designer—but dance has always been her first love. She’s so excited to keep sharing her passion and help dancers grow as both artists and individuals!

Studio Director

Gera is very excited to be a co-founder/owner of Soleunique Dance Complex. Gera’s teaching style is energetic, positive, fun, and nurturing. She brings out the potential in each and every student. Gera sets the groundwork for her students to successfully achieve their own personal goals as they relate to dance.

Gera fell in love with dance at the age of four. She mastered many different styles of dance including jazz, ballet, modern, lyrical, tap, and tumbling. She also studied acting and voice, which assisted her in winning many awards for group and solo performances.

Gera completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Columbia College, Chicago which adds to her creativity and originality in the classroom. She is very happy to have the privilege of working with children of all levels and ages. Gera is AFAA (American Fitness and Athletics Association) certified and is excited to add the new element of adult fitness to her repertoire.

Steve Ewing

Steve Ewing began his dance career at 12 years old at the well-known Bryant Ballet in Chicago. At the age of 16, Steve was teaching students of his own. After completing his B.A. in Theatre from Millikin University, Steve became a part of the largely successful Broadway smash-hit musical, WICKED, where he performed the role of Chistery for nearly 3 years. Along with performing in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, his other credits include numerous music videos and industrials with such employers as Cirque Du Soleil, Discover Card, and The Pampered Chef. You can even find Steve, photographed mid-air in a Russian jump, in the Encyclopedia Britannica for Health under Dance.

Steve also creates large-scale productions for corporate events such as Make A Wish Foundation, Neora International, and many more! Steve is currently a Professor at PACE University as a member of the Commercial Dance Program. He travels around the world for his Dance Convention, Industry Xperience where he gets to share his gifts and love of dance with the next generation of Artists.  He is also the Creative Director and Choreographer for the renowned INSPIRATI Dance Company most recently featured on TruTV’s Premier Season of “Fake Off”! Steve has also produced choreography/creative direction for America’s Got Talent! Daniel Aguirre

Daniel has been dancing Hip Hop from the bright, young age of five and professionally since eighteen. He’s classically trained, yet Hip Hop rises to the top as his most passionate discipline. 

Mentored by Marchello Lee, Daniel performed with acts including Drew Sidora, Jennifer Hudson, Ludacris and Wacka Flocka Flame. When not onstage, he keeps active teaching workshops, conventions, recreational classes as well as setting competition routines in the styles of popping, breaking, waving and animation. 

Sydney Tschosik

Sydney Tschosik grew up in Batavia, IL, and has been dancing since age three. At age 11 she joined the pre-professional SoleUnique Dance Company under the direction of Anthony Foster and Victoria Lynn Bunch. Throughout her 7 years with the company, she attended many competitions/conventions and became an award-winning soloist and scholarship recipient.

Throughout high school and during the summers, Sydney taught and assisted at her home studio, SoleUnique Dance Complex. She continued her dance training at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she blossomed as an up-and-coming choreographer.

In May 2023,  Sydney received a BS in Recreation, Sport & Tourism, and a Minor in Dance. During her time with the Dance at Illinois program, Sydney performed at the BFA Senior Thesis Concert in the spring of 2020 and spring of 2021, as well as November Dance 2020.
