Haleigh is excited to be teaching at Sole Unique in Wheaton! She began dancing at age three through a local park district, later advancing her training at a private studio before earning a dance minor in college. With over ten years of experience teaching recreational and competitive dancers, Haleigh is known for her supportive, mindful teaching style and well-rounded background.
Her training spans from Steps On Broadway in New York City to Pineapple Studios in London. She has studied ballet under Melissa Sallée, a student of Marie Tallchief, and jazz with Lisa Biagini, a student of the iconic Luigi. Haleigh holds a BA in Musical Theatre with a Dance Minor from North Central College and also studied at the renowned Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago. A lifelong learner, she continues taking classes at Steps On Broadway and believes dancers are never done growing.
Also a working actress, Haleigh has performed in professional musical theatre venues across Chicagoland and Connecticut, from The Den Theatre to the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. She especially loves being a part of workshops developing new works. In addition to performing, she has choreographed over ten musicals—from Junie B. Jones to Heathers—and her competition routines have earned numerous Overall and special judges’ awards at both regional and national levels.
Haleigh is a certified Progressing Ballet Technique instructor. She is passionate about injury prevention, proper muscle memory, and healthy technique. Through her teaching, she shares a love of learning, wellness, and a strong work ethic with dancers of all ages. She encourages students not to aim for perfection but to strive for growth—both in dance and in life.
